IUD Question - Who's have one? Your experience next to it?

I am considering an IUD. I have never be on chemical birth control, and would not choose to be because I think the negative outweigh the positives.
However, I am in a longterm monogamous relationship and I want a devout b/c method. Obviously.
So, I'm asking.. women who've had IUDs, what have been your experience? Would you reccommend it?
